Where we Began
It started at a barbecue—because where else do great love stories begin? This wasn’t just any barbecue; it was a matchmaking masterpiece orchestrated by Victoria (Char’s bestie) and Lova (Leon’s bestie), who just so happen to be married.
After some spirited small talk and a respectable amount of brisket, Char and Leon were paired together on the dance floor. They stumbled, they laughed, they nailed the art of not nailing a single move. By the end of the night a connection was made that no lack of rhythm could ruin.

Delightfully Lost
The very next weekend, the two set off on a hike. What began as a simple trail turned into a labyrinth of winding paths, missed turns, and endless laughter.
They wandered for hours, becoming delightfully lost. By the end of the day, it was clear that enjoying each other’s company was one thing they’d never lose their way with.

Making it Official
After a few unforgettable dinner dates (including one legendary meal at Fia), Leon and Char knew they’d found something special.
Their connection wasn’t just in the laughter and late-night conversations—it was in the moments of unspoken understanding, where their shared values naturally drew them closer.
With endless banter, shared playlists, and a million little moments, they made it official—Instagram got the memo shortly after.

The Start of Forever
Nine months later, the stage was set at the Getty Center, a museum Leon had long dreamed of sharing with Char. She thought it was just another day, but Leon had bigger plans in mind.
After a stroll through the exhibits, they found themselves in the lush gardens, a green wonderland straight out of Char’s dreams. As she admired the flowers, Leon knelt under a trellis and asked the question that would change everything.
After a few ecstatic “oh my goshes,” Char said yes, and the rest is history—sealed with a surprise dinner at Fia, where it all began.
